But simply put the true theme of the resto-mod movement is: the best of everything. And if there was ever a textbook example of a true-to-form resto-mod this Plymouth Belvedere has to be it. Showcasing the hard work of very skilled enthusiasts who understand how to enhance the best attributes of a professional restoration this exemplary coupe features a slew of top-shelf modifications. If youre in the market for an incredible classic that can be shown and driven with the best muscle cars on the road take a look at this tough GTX!

BODYWORK/TRIM

After spending most of its life as a clean driver this awesome B-Body was the perfect starting point for a professional 6-figure restoration that mixed a killer engine with classic MoPar attitude. The cars straight body was blasted bare massaged to form and coated in POR-15 rust preventative. Once that shell was completely clean and fully prepped quality primer was drenched in vibrant base and sealed in glossy clear. And today this poised and polished Plymouth sits as one super slick road warrior that features a perfect combination of no-nonsense looks and vicious street manners.

Admittedly the GTX was a little more ambiguous than Plymouths famed Road Runner but a lot of people like that contrast and dig the models upscale appearance. At the front of this hardtop a black-trimmed body-width grille hangs four halogen headlights above a mirrored bumper and clear parking lamps. Above that grille a fiberglass Hemi Super Stock Hood flows to an angular greenhouse thats framed in polished trim and modernized wipers. At the edges of that hood slab sided panels hang a chrome drivers mirror and familiar Pit Stop Fuel Filler amid traditional door handles factory fender emblems and dent-free rocker trim. And at the back of those panels fresh taillights center ornate trunk trim above polished exhaust tips and a second mirrored bumper.

ENGINE

The key to creating a sweet MoPar resto-mod is having LOTS of sweet MoPar power. Toss this Plymouths lightweight hood and youll find 477 cubic inches of Hemi big block that according to the cars previous owner moves to the tune of 676 horsepower and 665 lb./ft. of tire-melting torque! At the top of the block a duo of polished air cleaners forces wind in to coated Edelbrock Magneti Marelli carburetors which are cinched to an array of stainless fuel lines. At the base of those carbs an aluminum intake feeds air and fuel to big aluminum heads which perch polished breathers on mirrored valve covers. At the front of those heads an MSD Pro-Billet distributor sequences fire between an MSD Blaster 2 coil MSD 6AL ignition and MSD Super Conductor plug wires. At the base of that coil a snazzy March pulley system spins a billet power steering pump and polished Powermaster alternator at the sides of a big aluminum water pump. At the front of the engine bay a beefy Be Cool radiator makes good use of a painted support a billet expansion tank and three electric fans. At the sides of the block coated long-tube headers usher spent gases in to rowdy exhaust pipes. Theres an impressive roster of ancillaries that includes a Milodon oil pan a polished CPP master cylinder and a coated Edelbrock fuel pump. And aesthetically the Jet Black mill provides an excellent contrast to the cars vibrant red fenders.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

Like its slick exterior and clean engine bay the bottom of this
