1965 Ford Mustang Coupe andndash; Red with Black

There is nothing quite like a Red car to grab you attention. And, the Black Vinyl Top really sets it off. To me, it make the car look more formal and elegant. Coupled with the Style Steel wheels, this car really is a show stopper. As you can see by the new 500 CFM Holly we put on the car plus an original style black steering wheel, this car has the original look to it and performs like you would want it to.

We have spent a great deal of time on this car in the engine compartment detailing at highlighting various components. We did our normal operation of pulling the grille and repainting it the proper 1965 color plus pulling the female latch assembly and male latch assembly and bead blasting, priming and repainting them to look new again. We also removed the horns, blasted, primed and painted them. We have even gone to the expense of having a stamp made up for the coil to look factory. No more small duals!! The engine was painted Ford blue when we received it so we removed valve covers; blasted and repainted proper gold color for a 1965 car.

We also shot the block black, as it should be. We also sanded, primed and repainted all the inner fender panels. What a job that is! Another item that we took care of was the power steering pump which was looking a little tired. I also had the radiator prepped and re-shot. The owner told me he had the radiator flushed out and it runs nice and cool even when it is 100 degrees as it has been in Houston recently. We have even pulled the master cylinder cap; blasted it and repainted proper color.

The paint is probably a 15 year old paint job. But, it is not like regular 15 year old paint job. It was garaged all of its life and was only taken out for an occasional fun drive. We have purchased a brand new Black standard steering wheel. We have also found a like new bezel that will go with it. We will have it in the car in a couple of days. The car did not have a radio. We will find a radio of some sort to fill up the holes. We have given up on finding a specific radio that a customer will like. You will need to find your own radio.

Now for the trunk which most people do not pay that much attention to, if they pay any attentions at all. Many times I find trash and or jumper cables in the trunk. Many times there is no spare tire, jack or lug wrench. How inspiring is that? Makes you want to go on trips with that car!! Right!!

As you can see by the trunk pictures, it has all the proper items including the rubber on the driverandrsquo;s side so your luggage does not get scratched. (Very Rare!) It also came with spare tire and wheel, lug wrench and jack. (Very Rare Also!) I painted the wheel to freshen it up and blasted the jack and lug wrench and primed and painted both items. I even put the original sticker on the jack for you. I would hope the buyer of this car will show it at a numerous car shows. It should do quite well. As you can see by the trunk pics, it has its original trunk lid which is very rare and also has its original bumper braces in the trunk. Because of the location of the bumper braces and the amount of paint it is impossible for me to get a good picture of the date codes as the date codes on the trunk, inner fender panels, rocker panels and front fenders. EBay does not allow enough spaces for all our date code pictures of the trunk, rocker panel, underneath of the car, fenders, inner fender panels and more. I can send you pictures through the EBay email system of any of these pictures you would like to see.

We have not taken off the door panels to see if they are correctly dates coded because they looked new. The backing on the door panels is card board and sometimes they tear and you have to buy new ones. Did not want to disturb this just to check. I suspect they are, with everything else that is original sheet metal. Please look at the underside of
