The data tag decodes as follows: 5 1965, R San Jose, 07 Coupe, K 289 HiPo, Engine 157524 Sequential Unit Number, 65B Body 2 door hardtop coupe, Color H Caspian Blue,<br />Trim 22 Blue Vinyl<br />Date 13L Nov. 13th 1964<br />DSO 62 Houston Texas<br />Axle 5 350:1<br />Trans 5 4 Speed Manual<br />This original K Code has been professionally restored and photo documented nut and bolt restoration in 1990 by Far West Auto Group in Costa Mesa California. Approximately 16k miles have been put on the car since. Recently professionally tuned along with valve adjustment. Runs and drives excellent. Restoration has held up extremely well. This is a complete numbers matching car from the date coded deep groove pulleys to the early style balancer. Original 4100 carburetor, distributor, all engine components, transmission and rear end; all with original Ford tags, etc. Correct exhaust as original with resonators for that authentic K Code exhaust note. The original 8,000 rpm tach is still in place along with working Power Pac Clock. All dash gauges function as intended. Upgraded the Mustang AM/FM radio at time of restoration. Original double red line spare Uniroyal Low Profile Nylon tread still in place on original riveted styled steel wheel (see photo).<br />I realize potential buyers will have questions.
