1965 Ford Mustang GT Coupe Red on Red Nicely Refurbished A Code Mustang with a 225HP 289 Engine and Toploader 4-speed This is a nicely refurbished 1965 Mustang GT Coupe. It runs great, drives great, looks great, and the attention it gets is fun! This GT A code was built on August 13,1964 in the Dearborn Plant. It was shipped to Fargo,ND. The second owner moved the car to California in 1971. Approximately 1981 or 1982, it was repainted the original Rangoon Red. At that time, the interior was redone in white tuck and roll. It remained there till mid 1990s when the third owner bought the car and moved it to Bountiful,Utah. While refurbishing the car the interior was done in red standard Mustang interior. Thats where I bought the car on August 2, 2003. The Mustang would be classified as a solid #3 car. It is not a concourse show car. The car is very reliable and dependable. The car is nicely detailed and very presentable. No Disappointments This GT Coupe is a great investment and a fun car to drive and enjoy. From the engine compartment to the trunk and everywhere in between , this is a clean car.Body The body is rust free, however paint has a few minor imperfections. The paint is considered to be driver quality. The underside is in excellent condition. The floors and frame rails apper original and are very solid and clean (the passenger front floor has been professionally replaced). The doors, trunk and hood all open and shut properly, and all of the glass is good. The front bumper is new as of late 90s. The rear bumper appears to be original and very presentable. installed subframe connectors in 2004. Overall, the body is in a very clean and nice DRIVER condition with no rust.
