1956 Chevrolet Corvette This can be considered a true survivor car as it retains its original factory paint. The car runs beautifully and would make a great addition to any collection. Dont miss your chance to own a real survivor Corvette! Engine - The engine is a non numbers matching but period correct 283 with dual quad carbs. A new stainless steel exhaust system was installed with new mufflers. Transmission - The engine is backed by a Muncie 4 speed which works flawlessly. Interior and Options - The interior remains stock with new door and kick panels. The seats were reupholstered. The car features the original radio which still works. Exterior and Options - The body retains its original lacquer red paint which shows signs of age. There are a few small chips and one larger one as seen in the pictures. The body is straight with no dents. The ridges in the hood and other features show signs of age consistent with an original 60 year old paint job. The white convertible top is tear free and remains in great shape. The tack strip needs to be replaced. Brakes and Suspension - The car has its stock brakes and suspension. The rear end is the original non posi chevy with 3:70 gears. The car rides on wide white walls on stock steel wheels. The hub caps are of 1959-62 vintage.
