The 98 had been formerly known as the Series 90.</p><p>In 1947, Oldsmobile sold approximately 194,000 automobiles. Just 3,940 were Series 98 convertibles. Very few of these stylish and mechanically sophisticated automobiles remain intact today.</p><p>Standard equipment for 1947 included spare wheel a tire, an electric clock, safety glass, dual horns, cigarette lighter, a solenoid starter system and a vacuum booster pump.
