This car was a garage rescue find. Headed to the scrapper.owner lost interest. 30 yrs. disassembled, had body off the frame with a lot of new parts for the suspension and brakes and just needed to be cleaned up and put together. The engine is a NEW short block was crated and in preservative, we disassembled and cleaned, put it right back together with new seals and gaskets, resurfaced head. Has new brake lines , fuel lines, fuel tank, body bushings, fuel pump, battery, brake shoes, wheel cyl., master cyl.new kingpins, u-joints.Trans. and rear diff. disassembled , cleaned resealed and bearings as needed. We have done nothing to the body it has all of the original paint, Dings and dents and floors are in great shape for a 76 year old car. The sheet metal is in very good workable condition (no patch pieces would be needed ) that we can see. Starts, runs, drives great.Still has orig. floor starter. We have not even driven car enough to complete the breakin miles on the engine. Recent wheel alighnment, drives down the road straight. Headliner is perfect ,door panels ok, rest of interior needs repair, original spare and jack, all lights work.all windows roll up and down easy. We put it back together because we did not want to see this classic disappear, and somebody could enjoy it.Odometer works but not speedo. Driver side windshield has crack. We are not a shop or business just two mechanics who have a love for old cars so we do not ship vehicles new owner will have to set up shipping.Very motivated to sell we do not have the space. Also have complete spare straight 8 long block, oil pump, distributor, that comes with car. Owner had lost some of the parts to complete so we had to find another engine.Just went and had new tailpipe over axle out to rear did not like the looks of old one.I was told that according to build plates vehicle was built in southern calif. and after we assembled the car it would appear it spent its life here due to the lack of rust. The car has no original heater or radio (not built with it) we purchased tires used for a period correct look they have 90% tread but are aprox. 8 years old, so would need replacing eventually for any long road trips.Car is not perfect but is really fun to drive and an eye catcher at shows even with polished out orig. paint and old chrome.
