1930 Chrysler 70 Vehicle was purchased in Australia. Right hand drive. Ground up restoration 13 years ago. Excellent driver. Rumble seat, nice luggage case in back. Extra engine available. Light green leather interior with manual transmission. The 70 was one of three new series introduced by Chrysler in 1930 with improved styling, increased engine size and, for the first time, a four speed gearbox with a third gear capable of the steepest hills. The number 70 indicated the maximum speed in MPH which could be expected. Cruising at 55-60 mph was easily maintained and quietly from the slow-running motor. Side-mounted spare wheels were one of the options which added a further touch of class to the Chrysler models which were the companies top range. The motor was rebuilt with all new parts pistons, bearings, rings, gaskets, etc and fitted with a Holden variable carborator plus a stainless steel exhaust system. The differential, clutch, springs and tires and new bearings in the gearbox were also added. The electrical system, with a new loom, was converted to 12 volts and halogen headlights were installed. All work was carried out by specialists. -Vehicle is on consignment and at our clients home -Please Call First and talk to a rep at 231-468-2809 EXT 1 -Showroom is by appointment only Please Call -If you would like a FREE Listing please visit our consignment page or Call
